I slapped together a
page to calculate fuel cost.
What was that? You say, "That's a freakin' simple calculation man, a calculator would be faster."
For one time use, perhaps. However, I'm in love with
Firefox keywords.
Here's how I got my browser setup.
I create a new bookmark to the
fuel cost page.
Then I go to the bookmark manager and look at the properties of the bookmark.
I put
fuelcost for the Keyword, and add
?mpg=20&ppg=2.29&miles=%s to the Location. Change the mpg and the ppg (price per gallon) values that are approriate for your car and local.

Mmm-kay. Now what? Well the next time your going to take the ~250 mile trip from Houston to Dallas
type
fuelcost 250 in the Firefox address bar then hit enter.
BAM! You get
this.
Now you say, "I don't calculate fuel costs enough to go thru the trouble of setting up a Firefox keyword.". Ok, you win. I got no answer to that. I'm sorry for wastin' your time.
